Why Saturn and Venus Love Each Other

Saturn and Venus support each other nicely. This is why the combined dasha is effectual. They are so related to a key construct of life, that they together represent an important alignment in our beings.

Just as combos like Jupiter Sun or Jupiter Mars, and perhaps a few others.

The alignment of Saturn and Venus is that beauty is safest where it isn't lusted. And old age is most secure around a respectful, bountiful giving beauty. Saturn is Yoga Karaka for both of Venu's rising signs and Vice Versa.

Beauty comes strongest when the greatest restraint is applied in our taking. For example, to become Mikhail Barishnakov (sorry) you have to practice ballet quite a bit. The hard work produces the beauty. All physical things are like this.

Speaking in terms of Gods, Shani and Shukra are an interesting pair. I think that because Sani cannot and does not so much identify with the inner core of Gods, like the Sun etc., therefore feels kinship with Shukra because he has a heart for the other side of the tracks, so to speak. Shukra has a heart for the other enemies of the Inner Gods, so Sani feels safer here, because he is looking a bit like the non-godly himself. Feeling rather outcaste, he feels safest with the "most liberal" of the Gods, Shukra.

Shukra certainly doesn't feel comfortable with the likes of Jupiter, Sun, Mars, but is fine with the Moon in ways, Mercury's OK because he's not rigidly like his father yet, but Chandra is weak, and Mercury young, so Shukra prefers Saturn most of all.

So there are rarely to be found such strong cross-identification and team-working between planets as you can find with these two.

Venus wants to expand luxury and pleasure, and Saturn isn't a moralist, so doesn't prevent this particular endevour. Saturn benefits from the life and juice he can draw from Venus. He needs that. In general Venus can get away with providing some pleasure and richness to a life, so Saturn enjoys sharing the moment (the dasha). They party it up together. Things happen. Venus says, "lets try this" and Saturn says "sounds good to me" and Saturn says "lets focus on this serious issue, and Venus says, let me help you do it wonderfully and successfully, I bless you".

So you will find people going up in Saintliness and down in decay. Both can happen. It depends on who has the upper hand in the chart.
